Hook blocks are commonly fitted on electric hoist or winch / crab / trolley of cranes such as Bridge Crane, Gantry Crane, Jib Crane, etc. According to different use, crane hooks are of different kinds. 2. Two shapes: unilateral hook and bilateral hook. Unilateral hook is easy to make and convenient to use with lifting capacity usually less than 80t. For large lifting weight, bilateral hook is a better choose with symmetric load-bearing.

3. Two types: forged hook and laminated hook. Laminated hook is safer, and its dead weight is larger. It`s usually used to lift large weights and ladle.

4. Good-tenacity and high-quality carbon steel is the best material to make hook since it`s good to absorb impact.
